Farming may be the family business, but for Wesley Wells and his wife Amanda, Wesley Wells Farm is all about their young, growing family.

The nutrition and upbringing of their six children have prompted them to work on building a farm that produces the very best food. They want to make sure they are eating the best food possible, and what could be better than the produce and livestock the Wells raise on their own land. Their ultimate goal is to work the 56 acres they cleared into a full service, one stop farm with produce, chickens, pigs and cows, and soon dairy, and even flowers, all available in one place.

They have the means to create this one stop shop, and the next step is the dairy portion of the farm. It might be some time before we can buy Wesley Farms dairy, but it’s in the works. Wesley has spent time learning about agricultural engineering, and it has given him the know how to design and create portable milking stations for his cows, providing his family and community with fresh, unpasteurized milk!

Visit them, and check out their progress, during the Tour De Farm this November 15th and for the monthly “Family Farm Days”. The farm days are a perfect outing for the whole family, and kids can come pick their own veggies, feed chickens and more. Then, before you leave, you can purchase the veggies you’ve picked!

Check in on their Facebook page or website for details on dates and times.
